What does "Guisachan" mean anyway?
Prounounced "GOOSH-a-gan", it's a Gaelic word meaning "The place of the fir". There used to be a large stand of fir trees nearby, and so Lady Aberdeen named this area "Guisachan", for her childhood home in Invernesshire, Scotland.
